Here are the most common reasons for an upload to fail:
1. The FTP server address is incorrect
2. The username is incorrect
3. The password is incorrect
4. The path you are trying to upload the file to does not exist
The first three can be easily remedied by contacting you web hosting provider and verifying your server and login information.
The fourth reason is actually quite common. When you connect to a webserver via FTP, you are placed into a default folder that has been assigned to your username by your web hosting provider. This folder may not be the main folder for your webpages, and it also probably isn't the root folder on the webserver. If you think you have a path problem, the best way to check is to look at the FTP log in FeedForAll. When FeedForAll connects to your FTP server, it will log all the sub folders under the default folder after login. In addition FeedForAll will log all the sub folders each time it changes into another folder.
When you are setting up a new site for FeedForAll to use, be sure to use the 'Test Settings' and the 'View Test Log" buttons to verify that your settings are correct.
