May 21, 2007: Release Version 2.1.0.0

  • Universal Binary

November 27, 2006: Release Version 2.0.0.7

  • Fix a problem that when some XML Extensions were cloned they were linked together as one.

November 13, 2006: Release Version 2.0.0.6

  • Add MIME types for 3GP video formats
  • Publish the XML file after all other files have been published. This prevents some one from trying to download an enclosure before it is fully published

October 16, 2006: Release Version 2.0.0.4

  • Update the ordering URL to a new page that just has the Mac versions of the software
  • The RSS 2.0 spec says if the GUID's isPermaLink attribute is missing the default value is "true". Fix the code to match the spec
  • The Media RSS extension wasn't properly encoding some of the characters in the "text" field
  • Fix the drawing of the background color in the feed list
  • Fix so that Media RSS properly writes out the tag <media:keywords>

  • Fix the processing of <textInput>, where the wasn't paresed right.

August 15, 2006: Release Version 2.0.0.2

  • Don't use the for when it is blank, because of the differences in size
  • When an undefined extension is empty in some conditions it showed the previous value, fixed
  • Fix Edit Additional Files in Publishing to show the right template. The wrong template was displayed, but the right value is still stored
  • Fix the "Destination" button on the Export screen

July 19, 2006: Release Version 2.0.0.0

  • FeedForAll Mac now supports unified publishing. Publish the feed, all enclosures, images, and other files at the same time to FTP, .Mac or servers on your local network. This feature also supports publishing the feed in a variety of export formats and publishing an OPML list.
  • The Yahoo® Media Extensions (Media RSS), Creative Commons Extension (creativeCommons), and the TrackBack Extension (trackback) have been added to the list of supported Extensions (XML Namespaces) when creating Feeds and Podcasts. FeedForAll Mac supports adding metadata elements for iTunes®, Microsoft® Simple List Extensions (cf), Dublin Core (dc), Syndication (sy), and Content as well.
  • Import items from other feeds. FeedForAll Mac uses a new advanced import feature allowing the user greater control over the items imported.
  • FeedForAll Mac now has OPML capabilities. This includes the ability to create a simple OPML list or blogroll of the feeds that you work with in FeedForAll Mac.
  • In addition to being able to specify an XSL file, now a CSS file can be specified for controlling the display of the contents of the feed.
  • FeedForAll Mac has added several new tutorials, as well as updated existing tutorials supporting new and modified features.
  • FeedForAll Mac has the ability to generate a unique GUID and also has a Preferences option which automatically generates a unique GUID for each item.
  • The Search and Replace feature allows users to search and replace content in multiple fields and items in a feed. The XML Source Editor also has search and replace capabilities.
  • FeedForAll Mac supports multiple categories, as allowed by the RSS 2.0 Specification. RSS 2.0 specifications are located on the Harvard Law Website at http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/tech/rss.
  • To eliminate the risk of losing your data through accidental deletion, malfunction, or disk erasure FeedForAll Mac creates a backup of the current XML file.

  • The Creative Commons and Track Back extensions have been added to the list of supported Extensions (XML Namespaces) when creating Feeds and Podcasts. FeedForAll Mac supports adding metadata elements for iTunes, Microsoft Simple List Extensions (cf), Dublin Core (dc), Syndication (sy), Content, Media RSS (media) as well.

  • If an does not have a title, display the description in the list
  • Create a backup of the current XML file before saving
  • Fix the WISIWYG editor so that clicking on links brings up the edit panes, this was broken on Tiger in one of the updates
  • Fix the WYSIWYG editor, when editing images the height and width were being set to zero
  • Add a warning every time the "New Feed URL" is used, since it is rarely used.
  • Update the validation of the feed's image fields
  • Fix the processing for the W3CDTF, ISO 8601 : 1988 (E), date formats used in rdf, dc, sy and other XML namespaces

February 17, 2006: Release Version 1.6.0.6

  • When parsing a RSS 1.0 or 0.9 feed, dont carry over the data since there is not translation into RSS 2.0
  • IMPORTANT -- The URLs for link and similar are no longer unencoded for display. They will be encoded for the XML, if needed
  • Fix a crash after FTP Upload caused by interaction with "View XML"
  • Relax the validation of items to only require either the title or description and not both

  • Changed how line numbers were displayed in the XML viewer, the previous method had problems in very large feeds.

December 13, 2005: Release Version 1.6

  • Copy from Description or Title on the Feed Level into iTunes®; Subtitle and Summary data entry fields using Control-Click.
  • Made it possible for users to customize the toolbar like most applications for OS X.
  • Easily include Extensions (XML Namespaces) when creating Feeds and Podcasts. FeedForAll Mac makes adding metadata elements for iTunes® (itunes), Microsoft® Simple List Extensions (cf), Dublin Core (dc), Syndication (sy), and Content (content) by simply selecting the appropriate Namespace.
  • FeedForAll Mac along with supporting the Microsoft® Simple List Extensions provides sorting items in the current feed for free. The Microsoft® Simple List Extension is not required for this feature to work.
  • FeedForAll Mac provides several new printing features: Print Preview, Printing, and Print XML.
  • Support Namespaces in RSS 0.9, 0.91, 0.92, 0.93, 0.94, 1.0 and Atom 0.3 feeds.
  • FeedForAll Mac has made setting the time and date in the Date Picker easier. To use the current time and date, simply click the "Now" Button.

  • Don't clear the FTP log with every upload, only on entry to FTP
  • Don't do the 3 stage upload the was great for debugging, "Browse" does that better.
