Hi

I am trying to set up the cron but can't seem to get it to work. Can anyone see anything obvious?

The commands get the following results:

Code:

whereis wget:
wget: /usr/bin/wget /usr/share/man/man1/wget.1.gz

Whereis fetch:
fetch:

whereis lynx:
lynx: /usr/bin/lynx /etc/lynx.cfg /usr/share/man/man1/lynx.1.gz

So I would assume only the wget or lynx commands would work. So I have tried both these:

Code:

/usr/local/bin/lynx -source http://www.FeedForAll.com/rss2sql.php > /dev/null

/usr/local/bin/wget -O - http://www.FeedForAll.com/rss2sql.php > /dev/null

replacing the web address to my site and pointing to the correct folder where rss2sql is located. But I keep getting the error for both these commands:

Code:
/bin/sh: /usr/local/bin/lynx: No such file or directory

I think I have got everything else right as I have installed the sql2rss script and it displays the xml page with all the feeds dispalying ... just that they won't update!

Any help at all would be appreciated.

Thanks
Damian

For anyone else who has or had the same query, I managed to get mine working using the following in the cron manager:

Code:
/usr/local/bin/php -q /home/WEBSITE LOGIN NAME HERE/public_html/INPUT FOLDER NAME IS RSS2SQL IS IN A FOLDER/rss2sql.php -p processqueue

For info, my hosting is provided by hostpapa.

Hope this info helps someone else.

Cheers
Damian
