Hi there, currently I have a podcast

www.loucheleeds.com/podcast.html

We have bought a new URL which is where the new feed will be hosted.

How do I alert itunes its in a different place without re-submitting and losing all my subscribers.

There is a document on the apple site about using a <itunes:new-url-tag> but doesn't tell me exactly how to do it.

Can someone talk me through the process step by step please?

many thanks

To manually edit a new line of code to your feed, you'll need to do this:

1) Open FeedForAll and your Feed.

2) Go to View - XML Source.

3) Insert the new line of code with any data parameters in the section specified by iTunes.

4) Click on the Blue Check Mark in the upper left hand corner to save the content.

Right, you'll need to upload it to your current host because that's where iTunes is currently looking for the feed. In theory, once they pick up the new URL, you should just have to update the feed on your new host.

Hey there HELP :)

It doesn't seem to be working I have posted

<itunes:new-feed-url>http://www.louchemusic.com/wp-content/themes/Louche/rssfeed/louchepodcast.xml</itunes:new-feed-url>

into the channel section as apple say and when I upload I get the following message

XML Parsing Error: prefix not bound to a namespace
Location: http://www.loucheleeds.com/files/rssfeed/louchepodcast.xml
Line Number 4, Column 4: <itunes:new-feed-url>http://www.louchemusic.com/wp-content/themes/Louche/rssfeed/louchepodcast.xml</itunes:new-feed-url>
--------^

Do you know what I am doing wrong?

Many Thanks

iTunes should detect that feed, yes. It is a perfectly valid feed and you are supplying the correct link to the RSS/XML content.
