I have two .xml files with one audio .mp3 file each; one that has been submitted to itunes and accepted. When I try to submit the other .xml file to itunes, with a different .mp3 audio file and changed metadata, Itunes says it has already been submitted.

Are you using FFA to create the feed in question?

All you should have to do is add the new content to your feed and then re-publish the feed to your website. iTunes is already monitoring your published feed, so any time you post new content to the feed, iTunes should pick up on the new content within 24 hours.

Open one of your existing iTunes feeds and add new items to it. Once you've added the new items, go to Feed - Publish and tell FFA to upload the feed to your web server.

Right, you don't have to re-submit the feed to iTunes. The feed has already been submitted to iTunes, all you have to do is publish the new content to your site and iTunes should automatically pick up on the new content as long as long as the new items have the iTunes tags, which FFA should automatically generate for you.

For an existing feed on your web server and iTunes, you only publish a new item to your web server. The new Item is not submitted to iTunes.

When you create new items in FeedForAll, you have to give it the iTunes enclosure information which is where you specify the file type, file length, description, all of that data. When you upload the Feed to your website, that posts all of the content on the site. Since you've submitted your feed to iTunes, iTunes will automatically read in all of the information that you've posted.

Once the RSS feed is submitted to iTunes, the new items are automatically retrieved from your web server by the iTunes software on the subscriber's computer.

Subscribers can set iTunes to automatically check for new items or new episodes every hour, day or week. There is also an option to manually check for updated items.

In iTunes software on the computer:
1. Click 'Podcasts' (in the left panel).
2. Click the 'Settings' button (bottom of the screen).
3. The 'Podcast Settings' window will appear.
4. In the 'Check for new episodes' drop-down menu select:
Every hour
Every day
Every week
Manually

Please let us know if we are misunderstanding your request, or if there are any more questions.
