Hi all,

Im a web designer and my main area of expertise is CSS and XHTML and am relativley new to RSS and havent really grasped it fully. I have a client who has a demand though which I really dont have a clue how to do at the mo.

Basically for there site they want a newswire that is RSS, yet it is made up of content from other sites RSS's. So basically this RSS would be a compilation of other RSS's from other sites but on this one site, and it would in many ways make itself as they want it to pull the news from the other RSS's. So they would not actually need to create the newswire as it would make itself - as other sites updated, this one would pull this information in and update itself.

Is anything like this possible or would this be a seriously large task.

Also there is no copyright issues involved in this due to the other sites information being copyrighted or anything like that to worry about.

Thanks in advance for any responses

Kev

Wow cool thats excellent, so once I use this to mesh all the feeds together how can I get them onto the website, is this what RSS Parsing is for as I found software such as this http://magpierss.sourceforge.net/ mentioned in another forum?

Thanks again

You can use rssMesh.php to create a feed that is a combination of those other feeds. Then you can use rss2html.php, http://www.feedforall.com/free-php-script.htm , to create HTML.
