I was thrilled to find the RSSmesh script for combining multiple RSS feeds. However, it doesn't work well for media content. It strips off the additional name spaces ie media rss, itunes etc. and the metadata associated with them. I even attempted to modify the template to see if this would work and it doesn't. I manage several video blog feeds and more and more video blog search engines are requiring the media rss specifications for thumbnails etc. Has anyone else figured out a way to maintain the integrity of the metadata in the newly combined feed?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Here is an example of what I'm talking about. The first item is in it's original form. The proceeding item is what comes out after being modified by RSSmesh.

Yes, at this point only the RSS 2.0 fields are supported and content:encoded. We do have plans in the future to try and support additional names spaces, but haven't decided exactly how that will be done.
