Is it kosher to use query strings in RSS links? For example:

<item>
<link>http://www.mysite.com/Events.php?User=jon@mysite.com&Sub=Abc&NodeID=4</link>
...
<item>

This does not work in the Google reader (when I click on the item i get a page not found error). It does work in RSS Reader/

How about in a <channel>? I get an error using a query string in the link for a channel from the feed validator.

Do I need to escape the & or ? characters?

Thanks

You should be able to but only encode the query string, not the entire url.
