I have had to upgrade the FeedForAll software I was using.

I have created a feed http://www.oxnews.co.uk/assets/feeds/oxnews_feed.xml

Both on my website Oxnews.co.uk which used to run the old FeedForAll and the above feed displays photos.

The New Software Does display photos either on the verification or the website

Please advise

Dave,

I'm a bit confused. I just looked at the Feed that you posted the link for and the images are there. Granted, they're in an image media enclosure, so some feed readers will display the images themselves and some feed readers will show a referential link to the image. I'm just wondering what trouble you were running in to?

Also, we're not open on Sundays, which is why you didn't receive a response to your thread until now.

The reason the photo are showing is I am using the old software ( for 98.NT.2000. ME & XP) on another computer and not the new software that doesn't appear to work.

So I set up the new software like the old software and include a link to the photos - on the old software they appear but on the new software they don't appear?????

What do you suggest?

If you would, can you take the actual .xml file from the new system where things aren't behaving quite the way they should and email it to support at feedforall dot com? I'd really love to do a comparison with the XML code in that file versus the XML code in the feed you've linked to see what, if anything, is being broken or recoded or ... something.

I've had a look at the feed file you sent versus what's on the website and there aren't any coding differences that I can see. Now, what I can see is that the newer versions of FFA are much more precise with the RSS specification. As a result, I noticed that there were 8 errors in your feed, mostly to do with GUID and image enclosures.

If you open the feed in the new version of the program and go to Tools - Validate, it will bring up the list of warnings. Follow the advice listed for each warning to fix them. Then save the file and try to upload it and let's see if that makes a difference.
