How Do Your Record Podcast Audio?

I want to podcast but I do not know anything about recording? How do you recommend that I record audio files?
Most computers have built in sound cards, and jacks for microphones. You can use basic audio recording software like RecordForAll to record audio files. RecordForAll has a built in demo that walks you through the process. As you become more experienced you can overlay audio tracks and add things like background music and sound effects.
