That would be correct. To update your feed, FTP the new XML file to overwrite the file on the web server.

Thanks so much for your quick reply!!

I don't remember, since it's been 4 years since my last episode :-P. But I just updated my podacst feed and saved it on my computer. I had the xml file on my website in a subdirectory (mysite/podcast/mypodcast.xml). but I don't remember if THAT is where iTunes was getting its feed. And if to update it, I just FTP the new xml file and overwrite it? Is that correct?

Thanks!

I'm getting a validation error saying "Validation Error - "Width" must be no larger than 144"

But the recommended image size in 2019 says Podcast feeds contain artwork that is a minimum size of 1400 x 1400 pixels and a maximum size of 3000 x 3000 pixels.

Should I just ignore this warning?

Thanks.

I THINK I figured it out. I just picked a folder and put in there. Then I linked to it from the "podcast" page. I used that same link to submit to iTunes.

Now my question is, will I have to do this whole thing again for "episode 2"? Perhaps I just edit the xml in FFA to add an item and re-upload?

Thanks!

I have the audio produced and already uploaded to my site. I created the RSS file with FFA. I'm almost there but I'm stuck at this step.

What do I do with the RSS file (*.xml) once I create it on my hard drive with FFA? I use an FTP program to move files onto my site. I'm assuming I need to transfer the RSS file too, but WHERE on my site do I put it?

In case it matters, I'm using Wordpress with Thesis theme.

Thanks!

Ken
