I would like to have a little more control over left and right channels. I tried to record a conversation using Skype. My microphone was real weak, in left channel I think, and the interlocutor was in the right channel and his sound was perfect.

Yeah, it would be nice if you could select a section, and then just play that section. It would be handy if you are trying to cut out a mistake, or extract a good part to place elsewhere.

I will see what can be done :)

Great.
I mean, I thought that was what it was for in the demo.
I have bought the license. Looking forward.

Ok, I might spend the money - with the $10 discount. I could use this.
But one problem I have found is when I click on "Play track by itself" it plays from where ever the pointer left off, and not what I selected.

Fix this and I would love to buy it.

URLs in the text editor pasted-in do not automatically become linked URLs.

<ul>, <li> does not work in the description window.
Als<strong> and <em> for bold & italics.
Also ctrl-B and Ctrl-I do not work.
You work in Borland. Do you need code?

PostForum: FutureRSS (Automatic Content Publisher)   Posted: Mon Sep 04, 2006 11:40 am   Subject: php error
The script should always begin with <?php not just <?. See www.php.net. This was a PHP3 thing. <? No longer works on many servers, including mine.

Also I suggest adding this line:
#$cfg["rss_feed"]='http://www.example.ca/sample.rss';

It is not clear whether a URL or a server path is required. You need to indicate that it is a full URL and not a partial or relative URL. This will not work:
$cfg["rss_feed"]='/sample.rss';

Here is your code as I have modified it:

<?php
//
// future-rss.php Delayed RSS Item Publisher
// Version 1.0.1
//
// Copyright 2005,2006 NotePage, Inc. all rights reserved

// included in the download for full license terms and conditions.
//
#-------------------------------------------
# Script setup area
#-------------------------------------------
#$cfg["rss_feed"]='http://www.example.ca/sample.rss';
$cfg["rss_feed"]='http://www.cegepsherbrooke.qc.ca/~languesmodernes/604-102-Friday.rss';

PostForum: RSS2HTML (RSS to HTML Converter)   Posted: Mon Sep 04, 2006 11:15 am   Subject: Improvement/modification
Hi,
Because each <link> needs a unique URL, and because I use rss2html as a newsletter, see example, where not every entry has a download or a URL to an exterior site:

I have added <a name></a> to each entry:
http://www.cegepsherbrooke.qc.ca/~languesmodernes/604-102-Friday.php
http://www.cegepsherbrooke.qc.ca/languesmodernes/604-102-Friday.rss
(user name: fall2006 password farley)

I have modified your code this way:

$item = str_replace("~~~ItemTitle~~~", "<a name=\"item".(-1*($x-count($rss_parser->ItemTitle)))."\"></a>".FeedForAll_rss2html_limitLength($rss_parser->ItemTitle[$x], $limitItemTitleLength), $block1);

Thunderbird loads the URL as a default. I still want my students to see my comment, before I send them to another link or a download. Not every use will need it, but it is very useful.

HTH

Probably an old question,

1) The RSS does not validate without a guid field. No big thing. I have never really figured out what the difference is between link and guid in practical terms.

2) A red flag needs to evaluate the <link> field. Before a feed is published, is there no way to fore-warn a user before uploading that link fields were either
a) not completed; or
b) two or more <link>s are identical?
It would save a newbie a lot of stress and coder's dyslexia.

I have learned from using Thunderbird that if a link field is empty or two or more fields have the same URL that TB will not display these entries and those that come after. Therefore a whole feed could fail to publish and only one entry appear.

Something I'm learning from:

http://jtjohnston.ca/jtjohnston.rss (The only feed I have that works.)

is that (at least for Thunderbird) that :

1. there must be a URL <link>http://withsomething.com</link>,
2. you cannot repeat the URL
3. you can use <link/> once and only once.
