Many thanks. I'll follow your suggestions and hope for the best. I'll also give us both a break and leave you alone for now. May have to get back to you but will wait till tomorrow if I need to.

PostForum: Program Support (FFA Win) Posted: Thu May 02, 2019 2:10 pm Subject: xml hyperlink question
Should I enter the xml feed path on all three available lines, Feed Path; Image Path; and Enclosure or just the Feed Path line? I don't have an image or enclosure to add, a couple of lines about a story for the news readers to pick up.

When I tried to add the actual xml feed path earlier, first only in the Feed Path line, it was a no-go. Same thing happened when I entered the xml feed path on all three lines.

I sense this is something so obvious that it's whizzing right past me.

PostForum: Program Support (FFA Win) Posted: Thu May 02, 2019 12:58 pm Subject: One futher inquiry for now.
I may have found my problem.
In the Publish "Edit" area I find three lines to fill:

Feed Path
Image Path
Enclosure

When using the Wizard I may have misunderstood the instruction incorrectly entered my website url (http://atlantasidestreets.com) instead of my rss/xml feed path (http://atlantasidestreets.com/Atlanta_Sidestreets.xml).

I hope this will correct the problem. If so, I confess to being the web hoster dummy of the day. This is what can happen when one doesn't use the program frequently enough.

Best,

Ted Vigodsky

Many thanks. I may also have to call my web site hoster and see if they may have lost or corrupted this ftp link. I still may have to get back to you eventually so let me say again up front many thanks. It's good to know FFA is still interacting with its users. It's been a long time since I've had to avail myself of some tech input.

In the View "xml source" nowhere do I see <http://atlantasidestreets.com/Atlanta_Sidestreets.xml>

If it's supposed to be there and isn't where do I navigate on FFA to upload that info?

Many thanks.

Need to confirm that the xml hyperlink that FFA associated with my RSS Feed account going back ten years now is still properly formed to meet current web specs. Where within the FFA website would I find this info? I don't see that hyperlink expressed in the "View" drop down menu. Lately I've been unable to validate my feed although I always use the FFA assembling wizard to make sure everything is just so and always construct a very simple, uncomplicated rss feed. I also always get a thumbs-up that I'm about to publish a Valid Feed. Secondarily, this is also my way of seeing if FFA is still actively supported and by whom. Thanks.

I'm transitioning away from Windows and over to Linux 17.2. Hopefully, I'll be able to create and publish FFA feeds in this o.s. Is this possible now or at all?
Thanks.

Below is how my XML Source looks before I attempt to edit and save:

It looks the same way as above, unchanged, AFTER I've attempted to insert the auto discovery code below:

BETWEEN the HEADER:

and the

and then attempt to save it.

One other thing, please.

I notice in the FFA XML source window that my auto discovery code is not showing up and I'm unable to put it at top where it needs to be when attempting to edit it there. Below is the FFA xml file name you assigned me that I've been using from the very beginning.

I successfully inserted it directly onto my web page's file manager.

That's odd isn't it?

Feed Title:Atlanta Sidestreets
Feed URL:http://atlantasidestreets.com/Atlanta_Sidestreets.xml
Copy the following into your webpage
<link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="Atlanta
Sidestreets" href="http://atlantasidestreets.com/Atlanta_Sidestreets.xml"

Sorry, but I'm still having a problem resolving this xml recognition issue. I've confirmed my FTP pathway from FFA to my web hoster and it is valid, correct and working. Is there some FFA software update I'm not aware of? It's odd that one day I'm validating with no problem and the next, I'm getting a 404. Below is the body of the Feed Validator message. Many thanks.

FEED Validator

for Atom and RSS and KML

It looks like this is a web page, not a feed. I looked for a feed associated with this page, but couldn't find one. Please enter the address of your feed to validate.

Suddenly my xml feed is not validating. Below is the Feed Validator result although I'm finding the same thing on several others. Why is this happening???

The Rss Url for this site is:

<http://tedvigodsky.com/atlantasidestreets.xml>

This validates in both Feed Validator <http://feedvalidator.org/> and W3C

<http://validator.w3.org/feed/>

It appears not to be "refreshing" itself here and there. For example, I'm unable to get Yahoo to recognize this feed although FFA confirms that it is a "valid" feed. I also rechecked the Atom Link on my site's file manager Index Page using your self discover wizard and that seemed to be in order. Please confirm for me that this feed is in the proper form. If not, is there an FFA update I may not be aware of? If so, what is the download link for that update? Any other suggestions? Many thanks.
