I edited an item in my feed to correct a bad link, but I can't get the change to 'stick'. I uploaded the new .xml file, refreshed my browser, cleaned my cache, refreshed my rss reader entry for this feed, but am still seeing the bad information. What gives??[/url]

Can you post a link to your feed, and also post what is should and should not say. We will check it out from here.

I've run into the same thing, and its actually related to the RSS reader not picking up the updated contents.

I know in talking with Nick Bradbury from FeedDemon, he had added something into an old beta to counteract this, but the feedback from customers was that they ended up with too many duplicate entries that were simply spelling corrections.

I believe the only way around it is to delete the item, add a new one and change the GUID link and pubdate time.

Here is the source for your feed as I receive it. It looks like the change is in the feed, but I wanted to post it so you could verify that.

yes, that is what it should look like. I noticed in the mean time if I delete the feed and then re-subscribe I see the change, but I do not want to have instruct anyone to unsusbscribe and then resubscribe!

Most Feed readers work by checking the Pub Date of the feed. If it is the same as the last time it checked the feed, the reader assumes that there aren't any changes. If the Pub Date for the feed is newer, they then check the Pub Dates of each Item. Only Items with new dates are read in and displayed as new/changed.

So, if you update an existing item, make sure you update the feed's Pub Date and the Item's Pub Date.
