I don't think my set-up is working.

Ok I went through the set-up process, left everything standard, removed the "sample" from DB config file, and rss2sql Config.php file.

proved connectivity, logged in as admin, and have added 6 feeds, if I go to phpmyadmin, I can see all the DB structure with the two tables etc.

My problem seems to be the updates, there is no data in the tables, other than the feed URLS, last & next update shows 0000-00-00 00:00:00 and update count is 0.

I have tried to force the update with mydomain/admin/rss2sql/rss2sql.php?feedID=1
and other feeds also.. stil no update dates.

Please Advice

Regards

Four days of waiting for a reply is not a very good advertisement for this script.. I was sure that my problem was a simple one to answer for the coder of this script, but waiting and waiting, and searching the forum I finally found the answer I was looking for.

YOUR documentation that is enclosed with the script, is listed, numbered to a parrot fasion for somebody to follow.. however, you failed to mention in the documentation one VERY important factor... After adding the RSS Feed url to the Database, the documentation stats on line 19.

19) To cause the feed to be parsed and stored in the database use rss2sql.php

Example: http://www.FeedForAll.com/rss2sql.php

It fails to mention that you should type the following at the end:-

Example: http://www.FeedForAll.com/sql2rss.php?CONFIGFILE=sql2rss_Config.php

You need to have http://yourdomaine.com/rss2sql.php called automatically every few minutes to have it update.
