I just found out about, and downloaded FFA, and I have sort of a conceptual question?

Why would I want to use this as opposed to just maintaining a blog? It seems like it would be much easier to simply write a blog and let users subscribe to it? Am I missing something really fundamental? It would not be the first time,

Thanks

Mark

For a blog there is now reason. But RSS has many, MANY more uses then just blogs, news feeds is a good example.

I appreciate the reply, and really was not trying to be a wise guy...my question was and is a serious one. Could you perhaps lay out a couple of examples for me? It is the 'many MANY' other uses that I'm most curious about.

Thanks

Mark

RSS Feeds can be used for almost anything:

lunch specials
amber alerts
bank rates
newsletters
discount offers
homes for sale

There is a section on our website that explores how RSS is used in specific industries that you might find helpful:

That is exactly what I was looking for...thank you. BTW...are these examples done with css? I like the little boxes for each item.

Yes, and no ;-) The boxes are pure html but the site does use CSS and it certainly would not be hard to do with CSS and a template using rss2html.
