How long does it typically take before uploading a feed, and being able to see the changes?

I added an item this afternoon, and haven't seen the new item pop up yet.

Here's the address:
feed://morningstarmedia.org/messages/FBC_feed.xml
Thanks!

If you are talking about iTMS, it is updated once per day unless you force it to check sooner. http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/techspecs.html#_Toc526931667

Thanks for the link Jim,
I did do a ping, seemed successful; the new item entered yesterday still doesn't show up; I'll check again tomorrow.
I'm learning a great deal through this, thanks for your assistance!

Very interesting, itunes still hasn't updated the image. I'm beginning to think I may have sixed it wrong or something.

Here's what I have linked for FFA:
http://www.morningstarmedia.org/images/fbc.jpg

Any ideas?

I can see two tiny things with your feed, but I have no way of knowing if there are causing problems for ITMS. First, not that it should matter, your iTunes Image has "HTTP" instead of "http". Case shouldn't matter, but.... Second you have two items with the same GUID, this will cause problems from many feed readers, and possibly for ITMS.

On a side note, it seems that as ITMS becomes more popular for podcasting it is taking longer for them to update the images. Migth not be completely true, but it seems so.

Hi Jim,
Should I just delete the GUIDs?
I noticed only 2 items are using them. All the others don't have them.

Regarding the image,
in images/image, I just have http://www.morningstarmedia.org/images/fbc.jpg entered. Is there another place I need to change this?

Thanks! David

ITMS actually likes GUIDs, I would use the URL for the enclosure (audio file) for your GUID.

That was the only place I saw it.

OK, I just updated all of the items using the audio files as GUIDs.
I don't know where I got the ones that were there!

Thanks again!
