Since it is failing on creating the "DATA Connection" and your are not using "Passive Mode", try it with "Passive Mode" enabled. If not, what version are you using?

going into passive mode worked. it uploaded.
thank you.
My guess is that it isn't in in the directory that you think it is. If you are using a recent version 1.6.0.x or newer there is a "Browse" button that will show you what is in the directory. Then you can be sure it is were you want. This is good since most ISPs don't put you in your web directory when logging in by FTP.

hello jim
first of all, thanks for all of your help..
i can get it uploaded to my ftp as an xml file. however when i try to open it in safari or netscape, all that comes up is the code. it does not link to the audio file for which I desire to play.
the code reads as such...
rss version="2.0">
- gramercytest2 testing podcast

That is not a feed (.xml), that is an audio file. A nice audio file, but still an audio file.

i have server space, but do I need to create a webpage to place the rss information into?

Not required.
You uploaded your feed, the .xml file. What is the files name?

It looks like it might not be in the right directory. In FFA, click on "Upload" in the toolbar. Make sure all of your information is filled in, then click on "browse". You should see a directory labeled something like public_html or webroot or similar. Select that directory and then reupload.
