Hey there folks. I and a buddy host a podcast on a somewhat popular online radio network and we just do a weekend gig right now but we're being offered a 5 day a week spot and we need to upgrade our gear. Problem is, we're better at talking than we are at figuring out technical stuff so I thought I would come to you gents and gentettes to find out what we might need for an upgrade.
So first, we have condenser mics right now that are hooked up via USB and want to abandon them in favour of 3 Electrovoice RE20 mics. So we know that we want that. Aside from that, I'm looking for recommendations to meet our needs for the switch from digital to analogue equipment and the ability to take phone calls. We do not have a call screener but that might change. We should assume that it will not to be on the safe side.
So yeah. With 3 Electrovoice RE20 mics already picked out, what else would we need to be set up to receive phone calls and broadcast live over the internets? If I've not provided enough information, please ask away and I'll do my best to elucidate! :)
