?FeedForAll Beta 1 Release - Now Available

The first beta release for FeedForAll is now available!

It can be downloaded from here: http://www.feedforall.com/download/ffasetup.exe

Beta 1 includes many new features and enhancements that were not available in our Technology Preview releases. Here is the changelog for the Beta 1 release:

Changes Since Technology Preview 3
- Added WYSIWYG HTML editor for description fields
- Description fields now stretch vertically too
- Added button bar to Preferences screen
- Added button bar to Source screen
- All windows now save their positions and sizes on exit
- Added a few more checks to the XML/RSS automatic repair routine
- Added option to disable spell checking (preferences screen)
- Added 'Contents' to help menu
- Added 'Website' to help menu
- Added "What's This" help to all necessary interface objects
- Installer improvements:
Detects previous installation and installs to same folder
Prompts for installing a program icon on the desktop
Prompts for running program after install
Help file shortcut added to program group
Uninstall shortcut added to program group
Fixed problem that caused some computers to pause for a long period during install
- Users are now warned if their feed is missing required fields
- Basic help manual included
- Many minor cosmetic items cleaned up

A couple of small bugs were found in the WYSIWYG HTML Description editor, during additional in-house testing.

1. Line breaks (mostly near the bottom of the description text) were not being converted to HTML.

2. Links, under some very specific conditions, were not behaving correctly.

Because the beta release has not yet been publicly announced, we have decided to upload a new version. If you have downloaded before the date/time of this post, please check your program file version (feedforall.exe). The new version is 0.0.1.3.

A new build of FeedForAll Beta 1 has been uploaded to our server. The current build version is now 0.0.1.4. Several minor issues have be resolved, and a few small features have been added.

We are going to try to resolve issues that are found as quickly as possible, and make new builds available. We feel this is a better approach than waiting for a period of time to pass, and then posting an update with several updates within it.

If you downloaded your copy of FeedForAll before the date/time of this post, or have a program version (feedforall.exe) lower than 0.0.1.4, then please download and install the update.

We have received lots of excellent feedback from our testers and appreciate all of it. Please keep it coming!

- Option added for selecting different dictionaries
- Fixed problem with save dialog adding and extra .xml extension
- Allow line breaks in Description fields (inserts HTML
