Hi,
I am now getting "an error occured while prcoessing this directive"
I am trying to get the rss feed onto an existing webpage.
test area of site:
www.good-info.org/rssfeeds/test8.shtml
(this is the webpage I am using to display my current html, and the output from the reader)
The code in this file is
(all on one line...in notepad++)
www.good-info.org/rssfeeds/taccgtemp.html
(this is the template file, with a just a html table in it, with the variables the script knows about)
Permissions set at 777 on files.
(not sure why sample-template and my template taccgtemp show up as file length 0 on my server site)
Is it ok for the file extension name on the template to be .htm or .html.
ie are both acceptable?
Why does the doco, otption 3- adding fedd info. to an EXISTING web page, talk about a new webpage? (Should it read changed web page - ie. existing webpage with new feed code added?)
I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks

Several major problems on this line. First the apache docs state that #INCLUDE VIRTUAL must be a file path relative to the included file so it should be just rss2html.php. Second the "<" in XMLFILE= is an error. The same goes for >&MAXITEMS. So if all you paths are right the correct code would be
Try that,

Hi Jim,
Many many thanks.
All is well with the world. Works now. I am a very hamper.
Didn't see wood for the trees regarding < and >.
Looked and looked at it but didn't notice it
(old cut and paste job gone wrong)
Yes, thought about the relative address, but thought it could be a number of other things too - SSI on web host for one.
Again
Thanks.

I am glad. I noticed it when I tried pasting that link into my web browser to see if it worked.
