I wanted to first say thank you for making a great script. It provided a solution to one of our limitations at the office.
Quick question:
I noticed that when I use the comments variable, the script provides a comment URL, but not the actual number of comments.
Is it possible to show the actual number of comments?

The comments variable holds the comments field for the RSS feed, which is a URL of a page that has comments related to the item in the RSS feed. Unfortunately, there isn't anything about number of comments related to that variable and we don't have a number of comments variable implemented.
